Trust or Betray?
A one-round decision game. You choose first, then the computer’s hidden choice is revealed.
How it works
You and the computer each pick one option without knowing what the other will do. After you choose, the computer’s choice is revealed and you’ll see the outcome. There is only one round, so you can’t “learn” or change strategy over time.
Computer: Cooperate
Computer: Betray
You: Cooperate
Both do okay (best for the group)
You do worst (you got betrayed)
You: Betray
You do best (short-term gain)
Both do poorly (worst for the group)
Tip: Because you don’t know the computer’s choice, people often feel torn between trust and self-protection.

What this shows
Why this supports “decision-making is a science”
The outcomes come from a fixed decision structure and measurable reaction times.
Even when the choice feels personal, both the decision and the time taken follow
predictable patterns that can be studied scientifically.
